Overview
Window Connect (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a B2B platform that connects window cleaning professionals with local window repair companies. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from window cleaners, repair companies, and the homeowners they refer, how we use it, and the choices you have. The Window Connect iPhone app is a native wrapper around the same Window Connect web service, so this policy covers both surfaces.
Information We Collect
- Account information. Name, email address, phone number, password (hashed), business name, and role (cleaner, repair company, or admin) when you create an account.
- Lead content. When a cleaner submits a lead, we collect the homeowner’s name, phone number, address, photos of the damaged window, and a description of the issue.
- Photos and EXIF data. Photos you take in the app may include embedded GPS coordinates that we use to pre-fill the lead address. You can remove or edit this before submitting.
- Location. If you grant permission, the iOS app reads your current GPS location to auto-fill the lead address. We do not track location in the background.
- Payment information. Payment method details for repair companies and bank account details for cleaner payouts are processed and stored by Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers or bank account numbers.
- Push notification token. If you allow notifications, the iOS app sends Apple a device token that we store so we can deliver alerts (new lead, payout settled, etc.).
- Usage data. Server logs include timestamps, IP address, user agent, and the actions you take in the app.
How We Use Information
- To match cleaner-submitted leads with repair companies in the relevant ZIP code.
- To verify homeowner consent before sharing any contact info, via a single SMS message (see our SMS & Messaging Policy).
- To process payments from repair companies and payouts to cleaners through Stripe.
- To send transactional emails and push notifications about leads, payouts, and account activity.
- To provide customer support and detect fraud or abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations (tax, anti-fraud, dispute resolution).
We do not use your data for advertising, do not sell personal information, and do not share data with third parties for marketing.
Sharing
We share information only with the parties needed to deliver the service:
- Repair companies receive a homeowner’s contact information only after the homeowner replies YES to the SMS consent message.
- Service providers we use to operate the platform: Supabase (database and storage), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Twilio (SMS), Resend (email), Apple (push notifications).
- Legal requirements: when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
Your Rights and Choices
- Access and update: edit your profile from Settings inside the app.
- Delete your account: open Settings and tap “Delete account.” This permanently removes your profile and disassociates your past activity. Some records (financial transactions, dispute logs) may be retained as required by law.
- Notification preferences: turn off push notifications anytime in iOS Settings → Window Connect. Repair companies can disable email lead alerts in app settings.
- Location and camera: revoke at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy.
Data Retention
We keep account and lead data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, personal identifiers are removed within 30 days. Financial records (payouts, invoices, payment holds) and consent logs are retained for up to seven years to comply with tax, accounting, and TCPA-related obligations.
Children
Window Connect is intended for business use by adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt by Supabase Auth. Payment credentials are tokenized by Stripe. Access to production data is limited and audited.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice before taking effect.
